There are a number of different materials that can be perforated, though certain metal and plastic types are commonly used because of their ability to satisfy a wide range of design criteria. To facilitate selection of a material type, we offer information on those that are most commonly perforated. The information includes descriptions of the various material types, which are categorized into carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic. Also provided are their respective weights and the tolerances on thickness that can be perforated.
