Due to the layout of punches in perforating tools, when end margins are specified, the perforating process typically results in an unfinished pattern. Because finished end patterns are not always possible, unfinished end patterns are considered industry standard.
To find out if a desired pattern can be produced with finished ends, contact one of our Customer Service Representatives. Except for those tools that automatically produce a finished end pattern, unless otherwise specified, unfinished ends are supplied. Examples of unfinished and finished ends for most hole types are shown here. If margins are not specified, then “Safe Sides, No Ends” in the specified pattern are supplied.
